Lockerbie Old School Community Hub

At an initial community meeting the following suggestions were made by the community as potential activities that may take place in a community hub should the project be successful. The building was a Community Asset Transfer to from the Dumfries and Galloway Council to the Community Group in 2019:

After School Club Art and Crafts Centre, Artists hub similar to Wasps in Kirkcudbright, Arts and Crafts centre, Café and youth club, Centre for people with disabilities, Cinema, Classes, Community activities, Community cafeteria, Community centre, Community Centre for all ages, Community centre similar to Lochmaben, Community Centre, Community sections, Community use, as main facility for all groups, Craft rooms, Drama and dance, Drop in Centre, Drop in Centre for young and old, Fitness centre, Fitness groups, General use by community, Gym Hall, Mother and toddler groups, Multi purpose community hub, Multi purpose use, Mums, Babies and toddles, New Mums Group, Night Classes, Office space, Old peoples meeting place, Partly commercial to support upkeep, Recording studio, Retirement club, Scout Hall, Soft play area, Sport use, Use by local groups and young people, Workshops / Premises for new business, Youth centre, Youth organisations.
